This is not FS's fault, but a limitation of the Windows Installer. Complain to MicroSoft if you must.

To repair Jaws 7.1, you have to run the installation program that you downloaded from Freedom Scientific again. When you run the install program again, you will get options for modify, repair or remove. Click on the repair button to begin a repair of Jaws. You may be asked to restart your computer after the repair is complete.
