Chris, in my experience, on anything other than a fast network, it can be very slow, especially over adsl or cable. I am using Windows 7 Professional 32 bit here, and I plan to upgrade my license to JAWS Professional as well as add the remote access option so that I can use JAWS on both the netbook and laptop which would be connected remotely. You must be running Remote Desktop, Terminal Services or Citrix. Remote Desktop/Terminal Services are built into Windows; Citrix I am not sure. Probably something you have to pay for. The problem is the client's version of JAWS must have Remote Access authorization and must be runnming JAWS Professional. Without this JAWS cannot be used in terminal sessions. The version of JAWS running on the server cannot use its own authorization. So even if you are authorized on the client's computer you will still not be able to use it in terminal sessions without the Remote Access option. Hope this helps. I'm writing on behalf of a friend. I know this question has beenaddressed, but I didn't need to know for myself. How do you obtain remote desktop access to a work computer on a home computer. The route my friend's company uses presents the remoteaccess asan image that, of course, JAWS cannot read. Is there a way aroundthis?I asked my friend what program her company uses for remote access. Allshecould say was that a technician used an existing setting within her XPProcomputer to make the connection. I hope I've given sufficient information for someone to provideanswers.Thanks.-- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
