Rearranging order of Outlook fields

In Outlook 2003, I've been trying to rearrange the order of the From, Date,
and Subject fields of my messages. Right now, it reads the sender, the date
received, and then the subject line. I'm trying to reverse the Date and
Subject fields. I went to the Current View, and under Fields I found a list
box where it seems to have me tell Outlook what order I want the columns to
display in. The order listed does not reflect what is actually displayed,
though, so am not sure if I'm in the right place. The Microsoft Office Help
section wasn't any help, unfortunately. Any thoughts?
