Yes, it is possible.  But, if you look for Norton OEM software, you can get a 
current version which includes a year subscription for about the same price as 
a renewal.  So, I've chosen to go that route in the past two years.  You could 
get Norton System works 2004 or Norton Internet Security 2004 or for a bit 
more, spring for the 2005 versions.
