no problem Robbie
don't worry about it, know where one can get a copy, I'll give it a run if
you can find me a copy since it seems others don't have an idea either.

Hi All:
I have no problem dealing with the Disability Access Services at the
school I attend, in fact, I do when I need to. I was just asking if any
of you have heard of this program, and if so, how well does it work with
JAWS. I saw inn my message that I neglected to say the JAWS version that
I am using.
Anyway, I did not intend to cause a stir. Was just curious if anyone has
heard of or used the program. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thanks.

We need to be way more careful when making such glib statements. The law
isn't as clear as you claim, and visually impaired students can't afford
to start out with confrontational attitudes. for one thing, we know from
this list that some people can access applications that others among us
find hard to access. To some degree, accessibility is in the proverbial
eye of the beholder. Agreed, don't be passive in the face of obstacles to
accessibility, but take great care how you go about challenging professors
and administrators.
I'd say more, but this is off-topic. I just couldn't let such an assertion
go unqualified when it could influence list members less experienced in
the academic or professional world.

I have no info on this messenger app, just wanted to remind you that it's
up to the school to make things accessible for you, which means if the
instructor must allow you to use something that is accessible instead of
the application he is "requiring" , then he must do so!,
just want the students out there to know this, grin, got a dean replaced
over such a matter, and it wasn't even one of my deans,

Hi All:
Here's the situation. I am taking an online course in which the instructor
wants us to download Pronto, an instant messenger program. I was wondering
if any of you have heard or used this program, and if so, how accessible
is it?
Thanks in advance and all suggestions and help is appreciated.
