Thanks, Chris.  This does help, a lot.

I've done some programming in Basic, in an interface that was not terribly
accessible, so it sounds like I'll enjoy Visual Studio.  Guess I'll go grab
the VB.Net book from Murach and see what happens.

Hi, to me VB.Net is the most accessible programming language out there. On
the whole Visual Studio is, but VB.Net which is part of Visual Studio is an
easy to learn language (the "basic" gives it away), the programmes can be
made to work well with screen readers, and the IDE you use, Visual Studio,
is fully accessible, especially with the JAWS scripts. Hope this helps.
