I found if you leave Outlook Express open while doing the copying and
pasting it works OK.

Subject: Problems with word XP
Hello list. The strangest thing is happening with word xp. If I am in an
email message in outlook express and I want to copy the text to the
clipboard and then completely go out of OE and open up word xp and copy the
selected text in the doccument it does not copy. The doccument says blank.
Can anyone help me out here? This is frustrating as I never had this
problem before using word xp or jaws 5.1.
