In the view option alt plus v, make sure that you have the status bar
checked.

Hi,
It's precisely the insert-pagedown feature I'm trying to re-enable.
Instead of seeing the number of messages in a given folder, I'm seeing
snippets of a message below where the cursor is.
And, before anyone asks, I do have the display total number of messages in
the folder checked under the folder properties for all my folders.

Hi,
I was in my (massive) deleted items folder, searching for a message I'd
deleted... When, after sorting the messages by "from" to more easily
facilitate my search, Outlook "hiccupped", crashed and I had to close.
On opening Outlook, I can't do the little insert-right-arrow thing to get
the number of messages in each folder.
Where would you look to fix that?
