With most OCR programs, including Kurzweil and OmniPage, there is a setting
for performing OCR that doesn't require first printing out the document and
performing a scan. I don't know if this is the case with Open Book, but I'd be
surprised if it didn't have it.

    Hi,

All of the PDF docs I get, after processing come up with"alert empty
document." Since I know better, I print it out, scan with OepnBook software in
order to access the document. A pain, but it works.

        Hi All.

Recently I am having difficulties reading PDF documents.

I am using Acrobat Reading 9, but after following the instructions for
the document to be made readable, I find I can only read the first few lines.

I am using Jaws 10 and Windows Vista.

Can anyone please help, or put me in touch with a group that can?

        Thanks.

        Ron
