George, You're correct, of course. But I remember when I set up Gmail some years ago, I found the interaction with JAWS made the process difficult. David has done many listers a favor, I'm sure, by stating step by step the selections required. I've saved his directions in case I ever need to do this again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of George B Sent: Monday, January 17, 2011 3:16 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: Outlook 2003: problem with outgoing mails What does this have to do with jaws this is a gmail issue From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Sent: Monday, January 17, 2011 05:05 To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Outlook 2003: problem with outgoing mails hello; I think your outgoing server needs correct settings. I have configured my Gmail account exactly as stated in Gmail help. I receive the incoming mails, but I can not send anything, without any kind of error message! Any suggestions? (I have imported the settings from OE, and then modified it to the ones in gmail help.) I really prefer to use OE, but I am switching to windows 7 soon. So I am looking for a well accessible counterpart for OE. Can OE be installed on windows 7, instead of windows mail? Any suggestions/comments is greatly appreciated. Cheers! Hamid
