Look, people, when you signed up to this list, you agreed to some list
rules that included example. I know, I wrote most of it. Don't confuse the
list owner of this list and the owner of the other JAWS list, two
different James's. The rules of this lst have not been suspended, and when
you signed up to the list you agreed to those rules. James has not
substantially changed them from when I wrote them. A mailing list is not a
democracy. You don't like the rules, work with the list owner to change
them, but don't arbitrarily break them because you disagree with them,
especially after you have agreed, by virtue of being on this list, to
abide by them.

thenNo, it's not JAWS-related, it's Windows-related. The technique is the same whether you use JAWS, Window-Eyes, Hal, or any other screen reader, and the technique also works for any sighted person. JAWS doesn't come into play here.

Hi Blade, Sure, it's Jaws related. because getting to the My Favorites folder in Windows is something obvious to the sighted user who simply sees the interface, including what's listed in Windows explorer, but it's just another mystery and blind navigational trick that must be learned andquestionmemorized by the Jaws user. Different world.
Also, though I doubt it needs saying, and with sympathy and apologies to Marvin, almost anything is likely to be more Jaws related than amusicabout international copyright law pertaining to the distribution ofall, downloads, containing not a single reference to blind access issues ategregiouslylet alone screen readers in general or Jaws in particular. that was a doozy, relevance-wise. and no one objected at all, although I admit I laughed out loud when I saw it. Not out of disrespectfor, or even disinterestin, in the legal question, but just because it was sodiscussed, far afield from the list topic area.,
So, yes, I'd say this is jaws related and a proper thing to bemoderatortaught and learned on this list. I respect the opinion of anyone, manyor otherwise, who may feel differently, but personally I didn't feel the least bit inconvenienced by that thread.

I know that some are partial to the Run dialogue as a place to go fordofunctions, rather than use the Windows interface. But if you want toorthis same thing with the Windows interface, just do it in My ComputerFavoriteswindows Explorer. You'll immediately be in a tree view of thekeyfolders, in which you can create, delete, and copy and paste. try theascommand Windows E to get to this screen.

Hi Billy, If you are having difficulty doing this in Internet Explorer, you can do the same thing from within Windows Explorer. Just locate your, "favorites" folder, and create, and arrange folderssoyou would in any other Windows Explorer window. If you need further assistance, contact me off-list.
