Optical character readers and JAWS

I am thinking of getting a Lexmark flat bed printer and scanner.  It
appears that an OCR application called sprint Plus comes with it.  Is
this application accessible with JAWS?  If not, what would people
suggest that I get as an OCR?  Also, can I just use any OCR package with
this scanner?
