If you are speaking of highlighting text in a particular color, you can do
this from within the home ribbon.

Open the home ribbon (ALT-H) and activate the Text Highlight Color command
(I). This opens a list of colors. Use the ARROW KEYS to select and color
and press ENTER. The selected text will be highlighted in the color you
selected.

If you have text selected, be sure to remove the selection before you
continue editing.
