brad,

On mouse over and on click are called element attributes. You can set jaws
not to identify these attributes by unchecking the indicate element
attributes checkbox in the misc tab of html options in config manager. When
jaws key+f1 is pressed while focused on this checkbox, the following text
appears:
This check box tells JAWS to indicate the attribute of HTML
elements on web pages. For example, HTML allows the author of a page to set
an
OnClick event for most HTML elements to run specified code such as
JavaScript or Visual Basic
Script when clicked with the left mouse button.

The default is for this selection to be checked.

Often, there is nothing available via the "on mouse over" attribute, but
when there is there may be no other way to access that extra info which may
be a menu that drops down when it is activated. To attempt to activate it,
press CTRL+ENTER and if anything is available, focus will be directed to it.

Subject: On Mouse Over links

This is new to me. What does it mean when the links on a web page say
"on mouse over link"? Am I to put the mouse over the link for a caption? If
so how would I read it? Wondering how to utilize it or turn it off as it is
annoying.

Brad
