From experiende PowerPoint does not work well at all. You have to use the
jaws cursor when in a presentation. The virtual cursor turns off after a
few minutes of inactivity making it necessary to resort to the jaws coursor
to read the screen. This is a real pain when switching slides.

Hi, Office 2007 does work well with JAWS 8 and higher. One thing to
bear in mind is that the interface has changed. For example, instead
of a traditional menu bar, "ribbons" are used instead. I don't use
Office 2007; I have Office 2003, but I do know that after some
demonstrations at an exhibition I heard.
