I have had files that won't delete with the delete key, but the context 
menu has a delete item and that sometimes--almost always--will do it.  the 
context menu is to the left of the righthand control key.  Or, because 
windows gives you so many (ugh!) options, the f10 key or the right 
mouseclick button.
