Hello Chris,

Well, you are looking at one of those people who don't toss out anything.
I
archive all my past E-Mails into other folders in OE, and in one case had
27
thousand messages, just in the MIDI Mag archives. None were ever deleted
automatically by OE. Not sure I subscribe to the idea of a limitation in
size, but then I probably don't let my folders get larger than 2 Gb.

Just checked, and that large MIDI Mag folder of several years worth of
messages is *only* 719 Mb in size, so I've got at least another 10 years
worth of storage space in that folder, alone. I'm so very relieved, being
the compulsive collector that I am.

Dave

2002 has a limited storage capacity, and if like me you are a natural
hoarder,
if you exceed the quota allowed, the content of the Email can
vanish,I am not sure if the storage in OE is 2 Gb in total but I
think it
I'm curious how many people here keep every single
email. Personally, I think I read maybe 10% of what comes in on
the various lists to which I am subscribed. I think I would go mad
if I spent more than an hour or two a day dealing with emails.

Unicode has nothing to do with your church volunteer being a

Ok, a moment with google found this:

outlook express folders are limited to 2GB per folder (per .dbx
file), the number of messages you can store will vary depending
upon the size of the messages and attachments.

So, if you need to store more than 2gb of mail, perhaps sort some
of it into folders with useful names, maybe one per year, 2006 2007
2008 etc. Or, archive some of the .dbx files so Outlook Express
doesn't have to deal with them, especially when you're trying to
search for something.
