I thought I would do a jaws repair too because sometimes jaws get stuck in
outlook express and after windows defender runs it gets stuck. I went to the
jaws 7.10 sub menu and to tools and looked all over the place for
installation maintenance and couldn't find it so I went to the help section
and typed in key word "installation" and found that in order to do a repair
you have to have either the cd or if you downloaded jaws 7.1 which is what I
did, you have to go to where you saved it and find the installation set up.
Well I didn't save it. I just ran it. So now what do I do redownload it
again? What a nuisance. I really liked the installation maintenance where it
was in the tools menu.

Dana, I was having problems with Winamp and Internet Explorer after I
installed 7.1 final release and did a settings merge from 7.0. In Winamp I
was unable to go to the address bar. In Winamp I was having strange focusing
issues. Yesterday I did a Jaws repair and didn't do a settings merge, and so
far I'm not experiencing these problems.
I use a braille display without a synthesizer.

Since installing 7.1, occasionally, when I open a message in OE, I get
nothing but a blank screen - no speech, no braille. Sometimes, closing and
re-opening OE will fix the problem; sometime, I have to do a complete
reboot.
Is this a known issue? Have others experienced the same?
