Terri Lynne,
You must first setup your netnews server. It is much the same as a mail
server, contact your ISP for the information. In my case the news server is
"news.comcast.giganews.com".
While you're in OE go to the Tools>Accounts>News menu, this is where all the
information is to be filled in.
When a successful connection is made to the news server you will be prompted
to download a current list of all active newsgroups maintained by your
server, you'll want to do this. When this is done, scroll down the list of
folders you have defined in OE until you come to the Netnews folder. While
focused on the Netnews folder, execute a control+w and you will be presented
with a list of the news groups, be prepared, they'll be about 35,000+
groups.
Have fun.
