Multiple crashes with XP

Hi:
I am running Xp home on a 3.5 Intel processor with 512 megs of memory with
JAWS 6.0, with service pack 2. I am getting lots of crashes in various
programs. I upgraded from 98(SE). I wonder if JAWS 6.0 is at fault? If
anyone could give me any advice I would appreciate it. One more does anyone
know the name of the log that shows what caused the crash and where it is
located?
