Re: Mozilla Thunderbird with JFW 8

I have installed Eudora only once and don't like it at all. Thunderbird is much much better e-mail client for me. And don't forget, it's free. In fact, Thunderbird says if the message is "new" (or unread with outlook express terminology) or read, but you have to be patient enough to hear it, because in Thunderbird the status column is last or something like that. I don't use any scripts for Thunderbird and I'm very satisfied with it. The most professional e-mail client I have ever seen is The Bat!, but it creates the set of folders (inbox, sent etc.) for every account you have and it was too much for me, an I uninstall ed it.

Hi, definitely go for Eudora. Although there are scripts for Thunderbird, I'm afraid to say they don't work as well as they ought to be, and I certainly question as to why the scripts, for example, don't tell you which messages were read/unread. This is not the case for Eudora since JAWS comes with appropriate configuration for the product. I'm using it right now to send this message, and so far I'm loving it, much better than Outlook/Outlook Express/Thunderbird. In fact, I'm thinking of taking Thunderbird off tonight or tomorrow and use Eudora full time, which I'm doing now anyway. Hope that helps.
