Any idea how to bet between the edit view and design view?
I can't seem to figure that out.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jed

You oepn the database the same way you open any other file in an ms office
product. You'll probably come up in the edit view or what ever it's called.
You have design view for creating the database where you can add more fields
then the editing view where you may add actual data. In this view you just
tab between the fields. You should probably look at the project assist
tutorial on access. I don't have an exact url for that.

OK, so how do I open the database and start entering data?
I would guess that once I enter a record, we just hit save?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jed

It's a primary key. Not strictly necessary, usually desired. Primary key
says you can determine what's in a row by this value. It distinguishes it
from other rows in the table and may be one or several fields. It is table
specific.

Hey guys,
OK, just need a lite more help with this.
Creating fields is not a problem.
However, I did a control S to save the database, and it's telling me there
is no key defined.
I have no idea what this means.
Now, let's say I create the fields, how do I go about entering data?
When I tab through everything, it asks me for the field name, description,
ETC.
Now I have to figure out how to input data in to it.
Any ideas?
Sorry to be such a pain, just trying to learn the basics of access.
Thanks,
Jed
