Messages sometimes won't read when I open them in outlook express

Hi list,
I am running Windows 98 SE and Jaws 5.1, latest update.
Sometimes when I open a message in outlook express, the subject line will
read, and then it stops. I have to hit Control home to take it to the top of
the file to get it to read. Is there something I should change in lay out or
whatever to fix this?
