MacroMedia Flash locking up Jaws

It appears as though certain websites run little MacroMedia Flash movies on
the webpages and whilst they're running, Jaws reading commands don't work.
It's as though you have to wait for the movie to finish before the rest of
the webPage is available. Is anyone else experiencing this sort of thing?
Can anything be done about it.
