Thanks for all the suggestions, but so far nothing works, and I can't find any
help in the JAWS help topics either.

    David,

    Wasn't there some special keystroke, involving either F8 or numeric 8 that
caused a list to be "stalled" long enough to allow browsing? I just can't
remember.

      Hello Bob;

      okay, when your trying to open the list box, or, different definitions,
do you hear, combo box?
      if so, try pressing the enter key, you'll hear forms mode, then try
alt+down arrow to open.

          Try Alt+downarrow when you're on the list, and see if that opens it.
Then you should be able to use the up/down arrow to scroll through the list.
Then tab away to any other element or button. It's been a while since I used
JAWS 8 or 9, so working from memory.

            I'm using JAW's 8, and wondering if there is a way to open a list
box on a web site. Its Webster's dictionary, and when there are multiple
definitions, i can only access the main one. Happy holidays to all...
