The font is whatever it is set to by default which I believe is currier 10 pt.
The window is maximized which never seems to be a problem anyway. Any idea why
jaws doesn't like large fonts?

When you are in notepad, or word pad do you have the window maximized

Also what size font do you have set?

If it is to large jaws won't read it. Now I don't know about your brail
output if it registers large fonts.

  Hi people.
I have a spanking new Dell vostro 1400 laptop running win xp pro sp2.
I have jaws 8.0 2173 I think the number is.
When I type in wordpad or notepad I can't read what I've typed on the braille
display. I have to use the display. I have the same problem with speech but not
always. The display is a pacmate 20 3.70 it says when it starts up.
I know the display works as it displays when I focus the desktop and it seems
to read parts of controls in dialogue boxes but not always the text, just 1 of
3 etc.
I think there must be something sitting on top of the windows or a screen
animation in the way or something. I threw google desktop out the window but no
luck.
  How do I fix this?
  Sara
