Dave,

"Obtuse?" Why obtuse? Your directions seemed perfectly intelligent, not
stupid or dull-witted. They just don't seem to work-- and please , bear in
mind that this is a report from a user of XP Home, which I'm pretty sure we
established some time ago presents a problem compared to XP Pro,, though
none of us knows why that should be.

It'll be interesting to see what options we XP people may have with this
idea. Or not have.

Hmmm. Don't know Roger, but it works flawlessly on my XP Pro machine, using
the taskkill.exe file in the shortcut. Sorry it's seemingly obtuse.

Good luck.

Dave

Hi once again,
I have already tried the simplified method on my XP Home machine and found
that it does not work. Their must be some nuances about this which we
obviously don't know. My wife says I am a Pit Bull about these kind of
problems. We have to remain good natured about this technical pursuit.
