Don,

Well, that worked like a charm. Earlier advice has been to find a similarly
named file under an entirely different folder. c:\windows\system 32, if I
recall correctly. Which didn't work.

Now one more problem. I want to use control alt K for the hotkey. But I
assigned it to an earlier shortcut icon that I created using one of those
wrong files, and even though I've deleted that shortcut, I see the hotkey
won't allow itself to be assigned to this new shortcut. It needs to be
released. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.

Hi List,

The path for the jfwKill.exe file in XP Home is:

c:\Program Files\Freedom Scientific\Runtime JAWS\9.0\jfwkill.exe

If you are using either JAWS 7.10 or JAWS 8.0, just put those version
numbers in the path instead of 9.0

    Hope this helps,

    Don
