Internet explorer should be automatically allowed access by sygate.
Other applications that try to access the internet, you should have gotten a 
pop up dialog that asked for permission and you must say yes.
Go to the system tray icon for sygate and choose applications from the 
context menu.
Make sure your internet explorer says allow.
Or check any application that is being blocked.
You can press the context menu on a program and choose from allow, deny, 
and so on by entering on your choice.

i have installed and run Sygate personal firewall on my pc. but rather
unfortunate it blocks me from going online via internet explorer.
how can i fix this?
