Hi Chris,
I'm using Xp Home here as well. I've been running Jaws for seven years
now and not seen this behaviour before. However, I have tracked it to a
Jaws issue. I loaded the thumb drive version (7.0) and am not seeing
this behaviour when using the settings from 7.0. It has to have
something to do with my default Jaws settings.

It would be helpful to know which operating system you are using? However I
am using Windows XP home edition and not having the problem that you speak
of on the desktop.
Keep in mind if you are using Windows Vista Jaws for Windows is still in
public beta.
I hope this helps.
Chris.

Subject: Jaws opening submenus of context menus
Hello List:
I have already sent this question to Freedom Scientific tech support but I
am wondering if I can get an answer before tomorrow. This is truly driving
me nuts!
Thanks to all for any help on this.
Doug
If I open a context menu using the applications key and arrow to an item
that contains a sub menu, the sub menu automaticly seems to open.
Pressing
the left arrow key does not close the sub menu. Is this a Windows or Jaws
problem? How do I fix this behaviour? This is making the use of a lot of my
applications almost useless.
Thanks in advance,
Doug
