When I experience this problem, I press alt-tab to switch out of the
application and alt-tab again to return to my Internet window. Usually
speech returns. I'm using Windows XP, SP3 and JAWS 9.

Subject: Jaws going quiet
Hi,
I am using Jaws 9 with XP Home sp2.
While on the internet, Jaws will sometimes go quiet on a web page.
The only way I have found to get Jaws back to speaking is to close the web
page.
Trying to unload Jaws and reload does nothing.
I just spent nearly an hour filling out a survey, and was nearly finished
when Jaws shut up on me.
I am not a happy camper.
Has anyone else found a solution to get Jaws back without having to close
the web page?
Thanks.
Crystal
