Dear Friends,I am also facing a similar problem when editing mails in Outlook Express. But the problem is limited to using the arrow keys to read the letter f. Also when I delete the letter f, JAWS will read blank instead of the letter being deleted.

I sometimes have the problem in Word. Sometimes its a word or letter, sometimes it is entire lines. Flipping out with alt tab and flipping back again usually helps, but not always. I have enough vision to know there is text under the cursor but I hear 'BLANK, BLANK'. Perhaps, we should call this a BLANKITY BLANK problem. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Lauren54 Sent: Monday, August 20, 2007 3:30 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Jaws editing quirk Hmm: I've had that problem but its happened when I'm on certain websites only its hole blocks of text.----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard sherman" <squirman@xxxxxxxxxx>To: "JFW Discussion List" <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 20, 2007 3:01 PM Subject: Jaws editing quirkHi, Sometimes while editing an email using outlook express 2003, aparticularword will not be read by jaws. While arrowing over the word I willnoticethat some letters have been replaced by a blank. this may encompassmanyletters or the whole word. Lets say the word is accessible. I willhear a,c, c, blank blank blank i, b, l, e or something like that. I canremove theword but the problem still persists. I have tried to use the refresh keys of insert + esc to see if thatworksbut not usually. Sometimes highlighting the word has work, but notalways.I primarily use the html settings for creating emails and this problemdoesappear before and after using spell check on the email. the screen is maxamized. All display settings seem correct. using jaws7.1on an xp pro system with all the updates. I have used jaws 8 and itseemsnot to matter.
