RE: Jaws and Oracle accessibility

Hi Dan,

Working as a blind Oracle DBA is perfectly possible using JAWS.
I am a blind oracle DBA Instructor working for Oracle in The Netherlands and I
am able to do my work effectively. As always some things are easyer than others
but in general things are pretty accessible. Most DBAs do their work on the
Unix (or Linux) command line but using graphical tools is also possible. Your
mileage may vary.

It also depends a little bit on the database server platform (Unix or Windows)
and the Oracle database version used.

If you have specific questions feel free to drop me a message.

-Harald

Subject: Jaws and Oracle accessibility

Hi all,

Can any one tell me if Oracle is accessible with Jaws and if so how
accessible it is? Are there any parts of Oracle that are not accessible? I
am looking to study Oracle DBA work and start working in that arena if
possible.

Thanks.
