Jack,
You know, I can't even remember whaqt version of JAWS I started out
with. It was in 1994 and required a early version of Windows
(obviously). It does seem to me that I had something like 90K of RAM.
(nope folks, not 90 meg, 90K)
DOS would not address an entire MEG of memory and, as I recall,
something like 32K was the bare minimum. We used Quarterdeck for memory
management and if youhad more than a 60 KHZ processor you were flying...
I believe I had a 500K hard drive and it was more than sufficient. Nope,
no CD roms, just a floppy.
Cy, the Ancient Okie...

Well, all I have in my computer right now is Jaws 6.0 and I used the ILM

authorization disc that came with it.
I moved my Jaws key back to the floppy disc, then I uninstalled Jaws
5.10.
I only did it because I see no need for two programs installed when I
only
need one.
But, if I should need it, I still have all my earlier versions of Jaws
on
standby.
By the way, anyone remember the first version of Jaws 10 years ago? It
was
on 4 floppy discs. To my understanding, there were no CD rom drives 10
years ago.
