Yes Vista and jaws have some issues but nothing that can't be dealt with easy enough. See my audios on Vista that are on my website listed below.

Jaws standard works with all versions of Windows Vista with Home in the name i.e. Vista Home Basic and Windows Vista Home Premium.

Home Premium is the one that ships with most computers.

I've never had a problem with onboard sound cadres.

As for Vista itself. There are problems with it, but there are ways around them, and they don't really cause too much of an issue. It's just making sure you follow the initial setup instructions for running JAWS on Vista other wise it can get a bit confusing.

I use Vista, and despite the problems wouldn't go back to XP now.

Hello everyone. I use Jaws standard 8.0. I'm in the process of getting a new computer and know full well that there are several versions of Windows Vista out there. Witch versions of Windows Vista work with Jaws Standard? I also might get a computer with an onboard sound card. How well does Jaws work with an onboard sound card. If anyone can help me, it would be vary much appreciated.

Cheers.

Geoff
