Re: Jaws 8 problem

If you've reinstalled Windows XP, have you made sure your sound card drivers have installed automatically. Some drivers don't automatically install through Windows XP and have to be installed using the software that came with the sound card. 

Try playing some music or something to see if you get some sound.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but it's worth starting at the beginning.

I just reinstalled Jaws 8 for the third time after a crash. I have set jaws to start when windows starts but this is not working. It does load but will 
not speak. I have to close jaws and restart it with a hot key or with the
Jaws shortcut on the desktop to get it to speak. It is running as a service and there is only one sound card in the system. If anyone has any ideas for 
me to try it would be great!

PS. Windows XP has been reinstalled on this system after a complete format
of the drive so everything is nice and clean.
