Re: Jaws 8 a disapointment

I sometimes add my name and comment to petitions of an online lobbying
organization I belong to, addressed to my legislators, and those
communications are regularly acknowledged by senators and congress people.
Now, for what difference it makes, these petitions use Web-based online
form rather than an email method.

So that's my experience. For me, such petitions haven't been a waste of
time, at all.

Hi Bruce,

Well, for what it is worth, I learned from several reliable sources that the
Google petition was one of the factors that eventually got the audio CAPTCHA
put in place and an overall more active approach to accessibility issues on
the company's part.

Online petitions don't take long to complete, and, at a minimum, they show
everyone on the net how important a particular concern might be. In my
book, that at least counts for something.
