The Task Pane was introduced in Word XP. the point being made was that
is *like* the Task pane in functionality. that feature was introduced
by Microsoft, and has made some things more cumbersome for us. (Which
is why many choose to disable it.) Asking for JAWS functionality -
some extra JAWS keystroke? - to be added, is how you could pose it.

No, it isn't a task pane, whatever that is. It's the thesaurus dialogue
box. I have explored it as best I could with he Jaws cursor, and that's
what it is.
