Jaws 5 for msn messenger and skype

Hello Everybody,
I'm doing this for a friend of mine ,so I can forward her the information from 
you. She have jaws 5 and she download msn messenger 7.0  or 8.0 and skype 
version 3.1 and her jaws and braille display is not working by jaws not saying 
anything.Do you know what she need to do? Do you think jaws 5 doesn't support 
msn messenger 7.0 or 8.0 and skype version 3.1? The answer will be appreciate 
if you could help my friend.
