Re: Jaws 11 - Doubling of Keystrokes

Michael,

It's entirely possible that a future upgrade or revision of the current
version of JAWS will accidentally fix that problem, and no one will be able
to explain why. We can hope.

OF course, we can also be wary that any future upgrade or revision can
change something else for the worse -- something that used to work just
fine.

I'm right now switching back-and-forth between the last JAWS 11 version and
the current JAWS 12 version, depending on my workload, simply because there
are aspects of JAWS 12 that I find useful, but also aspects that do not
work.

Caveat Emptor!

Dave,

Actually, I have only one version of Jaws on my laptop.

As for Freedom Scientific support, they were unable to help with this
problem. I guess it's one of those mysteries that you simply have to live
with.

Thanks
Michael

Michael,

Any possibility that you're running two copies of JAWS at the same time? It
can be done with different versions, although usually you get a clue with
the speech doubling, as well.

Other than that, call 727-803-8600 and talk to the experts, or send mail to

Ann,

Thank you, and yes, I have. I'm positive the items are in a list, just like
the Options menu on the Jaws main screen.

Have you tried right arrow in case the items are not in a real list?
