Michele, until you are reprimanded by the moderator, I wouldn't pay too much 
attention to those other petty quips.
It might have been something as simple as that person getting an irresistible 
urge to post to the list which incidentally, I never get.
Really though, so many knowledgeable people have left the list.
Personally, I saved your post about the Java Bridge but even if it wasn't 
necessary or appropriate for the list--and I can't imagine why it wasn't, there 
are many many far less valuable postings--not trying to single anyone out--but 
it seems to me that your post will be useful to at least a few folks--myself 
included.
Should you decide to discontinue such postings to the list, please add me to 
your mailing list if possible for such future alerts.

My apologies if I have offended users of this alias. In the past I had 
received many requests to make the Access Bridge availability post to 
this alias. Since this appears to no longer be the case, I will
