David,

One possibility is that the icons aren't there. Try pressing the
applications key and in the Arrange Icons By submenu, see if Show
Desktop Icons is checked. If not, press Enter on it and they should
reappear. This is in Windows XP, by the way.

Hello, everyone.
Apologies if this topic has already been covered, but one of my friends
is having trouble with Jaws 8.2 on his computer.
Whenever he goes to the desktop, his arrow keys stop working. Also, he
can't use single character navigation (pressing 'i' to jump to Internet
Explorer, and so on).
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
I've never heard of this before, so the only thing that comes to mind is
uninstalling Jaws and then re-installing it.
