Hi
If I have been using Jaws for a while, I experience the behavior you are
talking about. If I close Jaws, and then restart it, it behaves like it
should.

Subject: JFW not reading combo boxes or desktop

Just installed JFW 7.0 on a new laptop. The install went okay, the pc is
running xp/sp2. Jaws does not speak the contents of combo boxes or list
boxes, just the position, like 2 of 9...sounds like the Borg. On the
desktop, it will say 1 of 10 or something like that, but refuses to read
the item names. Even in the Jaws program, on basic settings, cannot move
up and down the list box for setting the kind of keyboard, it just reads
the numeric position of the cursor, not the name. Radio buttons and check
boxes seem to read okay. Most things in control panel will not read.

Have verbosity set to highlited, but acts the same in the all mode.

Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks,

Dan
