Hi, there are a couple of things you can do. First make sure your keyboard layout is set to laptop in the bascis menu of jaws. Then most if not all laptops have what is called a function key. A lot of times use can use the function like the jaws key or insert key. So you could try pressing function key plus the 5 key. If that doesn't work your caps lock will act like the Jaws keys. I have a Dell laptop, and when I used the laptop keyboard I used the function key in combination with another key. I never used the caps lock because my insert key is in a good location. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tere Codina" <tcodina@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, November 27, 2004 4:06 PM Subject: JFW and laptop > Hi all, > > Can you tell me how to perform insert + 5 on the laptop? in this case I > need to learn the ANSI character number, but I need anyway to remember how > to get a numpad working on a laptop with JFW. > > Thanks > > Tere > > -- > To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to > jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. > Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfw > > If you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or > the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
