JFW and PDFs with strange fonts

Hi all,
I have a PDF that is the manual for my router. I am trying to read it with Jaws but many of the words appear to run together as one long string. I am assuming this is due to the font used or something like that.
Does anyone know of a way to fix this? I have tried to tell Acrobat reader to change the font but it doesn't seem to do anything.
