Hi,
I've gone into the HTML options in Configuration manager in my Jaws 6.0, and
I'm afraid it doesn't look as you describe. There isn't a miscellaneous
section, for instance, but a series of tabs, which I moved among using
Control Tab. As my issue here has to do with how a cretin type of link is
spoken, I went into the links tab and unchecked the default-checked item
"say link type." Then I saved (this was in the default file, of course) and
went to a familiar site, audible.com, to see if this had done the trick.
But no, as I looked at the links, I still got mouse over link and so forth
spoken.

So if you, or anyone else, can refine these instructions as to how to turn
off the mouse over links thing, either in the configuration manager or in
the Insert V method, please make suggestions. Or, as I said, if anyone
simply knows what the topic would be called in Jaws help, I'll go find that
section of the help documentation.

Thanks.
'm afrai

Hi, if you want to turn off the mouse over message, you can do it through
the config. manager. First, go to a webpage. Then press insert six. That's
six on the number row, not the numeric keypad. Press alt s for settings.
Oops, I forgot a step. Press insert six, then press control plus shift, plus
d for the default. Then press your alt s for settings. Arrow down to html
settings. Press enter. I think it is in the misc tab. You want to find where
it says something like announce elements checkbox, and uncheck it. Tab to
ok. Press alt f4, and press enter on yes to save.
