JFW 5.0 Video Bugs still not fixed

I have been very critical of version 5.0, particularly with respect to
the way the video was "broken" after 4.51. After the "patch" came out,
I thought I would give Version 5.0 another try, thinking that I perhaps
would not have to wait until version 5.1 for the video problems to be
fixed.
WRONG!
I was just running Windows Explorer. I had the file list sorted by
date. I wanted to change the sort order to display files
alphabetically.
I switched to the JAWS cursor and got nothing but "blank!" I changed
the reading restriction (with Insert-R), but nothing helped. I noted,
in addition, that the arrow keys (using the PC cursor) did not reliably
read files.
In frustration, I unloaded 5.0 and loaded 4.51.
All was well.
I changed the sort order just fine.
This was literally the same screen and the same program, just a
different (screwed-up) version.
Whatever happened to, "If it aint broke, don't fix it?"
