Re: JAWS saying attachments

There seem to be two schools of thought on the outgoing mail scan. Which
one you hold to I guess depends on whose argument is sounder to you.
Some people believe very strongly in scanning outgoing e-mail, just in
case something might have snuck by. Others, and I personally fall into
this latter category, feel that if a computer is well-protected anyway,
it's hard to imagine an outgoing mail scan being able to add any more
protection. As for the phantom attachment announcement, I would
personally be inclined not to suspect your anti-virus package, since
there is no message at the bottom of your e-mails saying that the
message was scanned. It could be that Yahoogroups has stripped out that
attachment. I know this message probably hasn't been a great deal of
help, but I hope it provided you something to consider.
