Sounds promising. A friend of mine who used to do IT for our Department of Education sent me some info about an adaptive program used by visually impaired students here in Kentucky a few years ago (I can't remember its name now--something to do with "write"). I went to their Web site, and almost bit on it, but it sounded too good to be true for the price. Besides, I've used this package for 14 years now, or longer than my two DOS packages put together, and better the devil you know . . . . That's the same rationale that keeps both public and private sectors using Microsoft. I sincerely hope that NVDA continues to progress. I just hope that 12, whenever it comes, clears up 11's major problems. It is the first version I've found (and I go back to 1.X) that was a total waste of money. Sort of like life insurance -- you pay and pay because you don't dare to not pay. I had no idea that upgrading from my current version of JAWS 9 to JAWS 11 Pro is so expensive. Guess I'll be sticking with JAWS 9 until this computer dies. I have better things to spend $400 on.
