Allan,

I don't quite understand your reply. As far as I know, I attempted to
download the full installation file as well. My question to you is, did you
use the Windows Update to get SP3 and did JAWS give you the percentage
download status every few seconds?

Subject: JAWS not saying download percentage on SP3 update

Hey all,

I attempted to use Windows Update to download Service Pack 3 (XP Pro
version), and before I clicked on the download button, was
informed by Windows Update that the SP3 download was a whopping 66 mb, and
at my slow dial-up connection would take 6 hours.

Groaning, I clicked on the download button, then clicked on the license "I
agree" button and the download process began. JAWS never
gave me any feedback on percentage of download complete, even after 2 hours,
and the dialogue box gave no info either, other than
saying that the SP3 download was in process.

I finally gave up and clicked on the cancel button.

Has anyone else had this problem with JAWS not giving any feedback on the
percentage of the SP3 download?

Alan
